Philadelphia – America’s Garden Capital – will recognizes National Public Gardens Day with celebrations throughout the city & suburbs. National Public Gardens Day raises awareness of America’s public gardens & their important role in providing beauty & respite to more than 70 million people annually, while also promoting environmental stewardship & awareness, plant & water conservation, and education in communities nationwide. Thirty local gardens in the Philadelphia region mark the day by hosting special activities.
