The former estate of Henry Francis du Pont features an extensive antiques collection and a 60-acre garden, including Enchanted Woods, an outdoor space just for kids. See textiles, paintings, prints, ceramics and glass pieces in the galleries. In the Touch-It Room, kids can play in a hearth kitchen, step into an 1830s general store and experience an 18th century tea party. At various times throughout the year, Winterthur hosts the children’s story series WOW! Wee Ones at Winterthur & other family events.
Tour Tips: Pick up a Preschool Pack or Enchanted Woods Backpack, included with admission, at the Galleries Reception Desk. They’re filled with stories, puzzles, games and other activities kids can complete during their visit.
