At this history-meets-science museum, families can get a glimpse of scientific studies in the Victorian age. The Institute’s collections, including founder William Wagner’s original minerals & fossils, have even kept the same arrangement since the late 19th century. Family Open Houses on select Saturdays feature interactive experiments. The museum houses the specimen of a saber-toothed tiger, a species that went extinct more than 10,000 years ago.
