While the Institute says the main audience for its museum is ‘scientifically curious adults,’ older kids just as curious -- and serious -- about their studies can appreciate the Institute’s main display on the history of chemistry. Just remind your child to look, not touch, except for the interactive, touch-screen Periodic Table show. Some elements of Interest: Antique chemistry sets, Jell-O recipes & a traveling exhibit on the molecular movement of plants. The First Friday program of each month offers projects & demonstrations.
