America’s first zoo houses more than 1,300 animals. Zebras, giraffes & rhinos reside in African Plains. At the award-winning Big Cat Falls, view lions, tigers, jaguars, pumas & leopards and learn about these wild cats through interactive stations. At the Children’s Zoo, kids can feed farm animals & look for creepy crawlers in the Backyard Bugs area. Observe 100+ exotic birds & see a new 4-D theater show in the Zoo’s new McNeil Avian Center.

Head to the Zoo early to see animals such as prairie dog babies that only come out at the beginning and end of the day. Kids can ride on the Amazon Rainforest Carousel, the Channel 6 Zoo Balloon that rises 400 ft. above the Zoo or on a train, pony, camel or swan boat.
