Connections between the Garden State and topics in archaeology, cultural & natural history and fine art are explored in this free attraction’s “4 museums in one.” More than 2 million specimens are on display, including T-rex teeth. Science-specific exhibits include Rising Tide on the first floor, which uses multimedia displays to teach kids about climate change in New Jersey. On the second Saturday of each month, check out free shows in the recently upgraded planetarium (usually there’s a $4-$5 fee) & free special programs.
