This University of Pennsylvania arboretum features more than 2,500 types of growing plants, including the attraction Out on a Limb, which takes you into the treetops at 50 ft. above ground, and the Garden Railway, a miniature railroad & town built from natural materials. The Arboretum hosts year-round programs for families & kids.

FAMILY MUSTS: The Holiday Garden Railway is a mini winter wonderland complete with a quarter-mile of model-train track, loops, tunnels, bridges, 15 rail lines and trains that circle scaled replicas of local landmarks and monuments laden with lights. See it through December.

Verbal description tours are available for those who are visually impaired. Golf-cart tours for people with physical disabilities are available; a reservation two weeks in advance is recommended.
