Independence Park features famous monuments & sites that played integral parts of our nation’s founding.
Start at the Independence Visitor Center (6th & Market Sts.) to get your free tickets for tours of Independence Hall (5th & Chestnut Sts.), where the Declaration of Independence & U.S. Constitution were debated, adopted and signed. No tickets are required to see the Liberty Bell (6th & Market Sts.).
Kids can become Junior Rangers by completing puzzles and collecting information from several sites within Independence Park. Free activity booklets are available at the Visitor Center or download yours at www.nps.gov/inde/forkids
The Liberty 360 show, a 15-min., 3-D experience about American symbols, runs several times daily at the Historic Philadelphia Center (6th & Chestnut Sts.).
During warmer months, you can view an outdoor digital Lights of Liberty show at night. Once Upon a Nation presents walking tours for all ages and free educational "storytelling benches" throughout the historic Philadelphia area, Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Parking while visiting Independence National Historic Park is available at the Visitor Center underground parking garage, 6th St. between Arch & Market Sts.
