No trip to the Franklin Institute is complete without a walk through The Giant Heart, a favorite experience for visitors since the Institute opened in 1954. Other highly interactive exhibits teach lessons on a range of scientific topics, from engineering at The Train Factory to astronomy in Space Command. Kids can participate in projects like papermaking, watch demonstrations & dissections, and see live experiment shows every day. For extra fees, you can sit in IMAX, flight simulators & other multimedia theater experiences. Mark your calendars for Target Community Night, usually the third Wednesday of the month, when the main museum is open for free from 5pm-8pm.
