Your first view at Elmwood Park Zoo will likely be the open-air bald eagle exhibit, one of the largest of its kind in the U.S. Other animal attractions not to miss: exotic blue & golden frogs, talking parrots and the new Butterflies & Blossoms greenhouse garden experience. Kids can also see alpacas & other farm animals and go on pony rides without an extra fee. Tour Tips: Listen to zookeeper talks daily at 11:30am & 3pm. Live animal shows run 1pm on weekdays & 1:30pm on weekends. Before visiting, review the animal profiles on the website with your kids. The Butterflies & Blossoms section of the website shares fun ideas for finding butterflies at the zoo & at home. Fun Fact: The zoo is home to a pronghorn antelope, North America’s fastest land animal, and a peregrine falcon, the world’s fastest bird.
