Your first view at Elmwood Park Zoo will likely be the open-air bald eagle exhibit, one of the largest of its kind in the U.S. The Zoo also features over 100 other wild and exotic animals native to North, Central and South America including bison, gray wolves, river otters, squirrel monkeys, and a melanistic jaguar. Elmwood Park Zoo has a number of exciting seasonal attractions including giraffe feeding, pony rides, face painting, train rides, a petting barn and tropical bird feedings.
KIDBIT: The zoo hosts frequent day-off programs when kids don't have school but parents still have to work.
Tour Tips: For an interactive and educational experience, attend a “Meet the Keepers” session (daily at 11:30 AM and 3:00 PM).
