The Plantation is one of the oldest working farms in Pennsylvania. Visit on weekends to see demonstrations of daily colonial life activities, such as sewing, butter-churning or wood-splitting. Or get hands-on with the tasks yourself, by signing up for weekend workshops -- kids’ corn husk crafts or breaking flax to make linen are among the topics offered. The rare farm animals are a favorite among kids: Levon, a horned dorset (an all-white sheep), loves being scratched between his horns on the top of his head.
