Family-fun events and activities in Philadelphia, the suburbs, South Jersey and Delaware for Sept. 20-22, 2019
Top Picks for This Weekend
We’re lucky to be in an area rich with arts, culture, history and science. See some of it for FREE Saturday courtesy of Museum Day Live! Inspired by the free-admission Smithsonian museums in Washington D.C., the event grants complimentary admission to ticketholders at 30-plus local participating venues, including Philly’s Academy of Natural Sciences and Penn Museum; Wilmington’s Delaware Art Museum; and Millville, NJ’s WheatonARts.
Expect plenty of good old-fashioned fun during the FREE Camden County Fair Friday and Saturday at Gloucester Township, NJ’s Lakewood Complex. You’ll find performances by local talent, pony rides, 4H demos, carnival games and rides, a petting zoo and an apple-pie contest.
Don’t miss the first-ever FREE West Street Art Festival Sunday. Hosted by the Delaware Contemporary in partnership with other Wilmington faves, activities include screen-printing, mask-making and photography workshops; science experiments; food trucks and an obstacle course.
