Enjoy Boo at the Zoo in three locations: the Philadelphia Zoo (Fri.-Sun.), the Brandywine Zoo in Wilmington, DE (Sat.) and 3 Palms Plants & Petting Zoo in Clayton, DE (Sat.-Sun.) Want more? The Plainsboro Preserve in Cranbury, NJ explores the Animals of Halloween on Sat evening.

Philly & the 'burbs  

 In the city, play Spooky Mini Golf in Franklin Square (Fri.-Sun. evenings), experience toned-down frights during the Eastern State Penitentiary's Terror Behind the Walls Family Night (Sun.), hear spine-tingling chords at the FREE Orcs, Ogres & an Organist concert at the Church of St. Martin-in-the-Fields (Sun.) and hit two FREE festivals: East Passyunk's 2nd Annual Spooky Saturday at the Singing Fountain and the Fairmount Art Center's Halloween Arts Festival (Sun.)

Heading outward, trick-or-treat along Hatboro's York Road (Sat.), take a hayride to the Witches' House at Linvilla Orchards in Media (Fri.-Sun.), go mad at Mad Science's FREE Halloween show at the Phoenixville Public Library (Sat.) and bask by the bonfire at the Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation in Newtown Square (Sat.) 


Pumpkins are the star of the show at Bellevue State Park's Pumpkin Painting and Hayride (Fri. evening) and the Hagley Museum & Library's Build a Pumpkin Catapult (Sat.), both in Wilmington. Over in Dover on Sat., the Delaware Agricultural Museum celebrates Goodies & Goblins, while the Biggs Museum of American Art screens Paranorman on Spooky Family Movie Night.

South Jersey

Little monsters will find a kindred spirit at the Broadway Theatre of Pitman during The Little Monsters BIG Halloween Adventure (Fri. & Sat.) Festival fun can be had at the Camden Children's Garden's Goblins in the Garden Family Festival (Sat.-Sun.) and Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center's Hallo-Wheaton in Millville (Sun.) Finally, get your four-legged friends into the act for the Costume Pet Parade at Historic Smithville & Village Greene (Sat.)
