Remember the Philadelphia Zoo's Coldilocks with a donation in her name to Polar Bear International

The Philadelphia Zoo's Coldilocks was the oldest polar bear in the United States at the time of her death last week

Today is International Polar Bear Day, which is bittersweet in the Philadelphia area this year.

Last week the Philadelphia Zoo lost Coldilocks, the 37-year-old polar bear that had to be euthanized due to declining health because of her age.

If you and your family enjoyed visiting Coldilocks over the years, you can celebrate today by making a contribution in her memory to Polar Bear International. Enter her name in the honor section and Philadelphia Zoo as the address.

Then cheer yourself up by watching this polar bear cam at the Cochrane Polar Bear Habitat in Ontario, Canada. Even if the bears don't stroll in front of the camera while you are looking, you can appreciate that it's a mild, sunny day here instead of 10 degrees and snow covered.
