Menu plan Mondays: drawing a blank

Menu plan Mondays: drawing a blank

Foodnetworktv.com

I have a confession to make. . .I am hitting a brick wall in my meal planning. I'm sitting here right now, with a completely blank calendar for the week. Nothing planned and no ideas. . .not one.

In my freezer, I have chicken, pork tenderloin, sausage, shrimp and ground beef. Plenty of pasta in my pantry. Just no inspiration.

Does this happen to you? How do you overcome it? I know meal planning helps us manage our time and money better, as well as eat healthier. It matters in our lives, so I do it. But some days. . .it's like pulling teeth, and this is one of those days.

So let's think this through together, and come up with a tentative plan:

Monday - Chicken cutlets, mashed potatoes & peas

Tuesday - Italian sausage with bow ties

Wednesday - Pork Ttenderloin, Julianne potatoes & green beans

Thursday - Quick and early kid dinner. Going to the circus.

Friday - Pizza night

Satrday - Trip to my parent's house

Sunday -TBD/leftover buffet

So there you have it. . .a plan. . .subject to changes and needing a few ingredients along the way. But it's a plan.
