Along the Silk Road Day

This Saturday, experience a trio of learning festivals at museums. At $11 admission or less, you can discover new cultures and sciences on a fun family outing.

The history of tea is explained during a morning presentation at Along the Silk Road World Culture Day at Penn Museum in Phila. Other highlights of the day: traditional dancing and drumming, henna tattoos and spicy lunch specials at the museum cafe.

In Cherry Hill, NJ, kids can make Viking hats, play hockey and watch a ballet in celebration of Waffle Day, a Swedish national holiday, at the Garden State Discovery Museum.

Nano DayAt Nano Day at the Delaware Museum of Natural History in Wilmington, DE, kids can explore the big world of teeny-tiny science through hands-on investigations and experiments, like measuring themselves in nanometers.
