Summer is heating up — both in temperature and family fun! Take your pick of weekend festivals, celebrating everything from your kids to entire cultures.

Just for Kids: Play all day at KidsFest on the Delaware State Fairgrounds, and enjoy face painting and kids' activities in Chestnut Hill and Skippack, PA and at SMITH The Kids' Play Place in Fairmount Park, Phila.

Patriotic: Go red, white and blue for Flag Day at the home of famous flagmaker Betsy Ross in Phila.

Cultural: Celebrate your heritage or experience another culture at Italian and Greek festivals in Wilmington, DE, an Islamic festival at Penn's Landing in Phila., the Odunde African American festival on South St. in Phila., and Celtic festival in Cape May, NJ.

Magical: Fairies are the focus at Tyler Arboretum in Media, PA and Buttinger Nature Center in Pennington, NJ.

Everything Else: Other fun fairs this weekend include the New Jersey Renaissance Faire in Bordentown, Art in the Open Philadelphia, Maysie's FarmFest in Glenmoore, PA and StrawBEARy Family Festival at Camden (NJ) Children's Garden.

Don't forget you can stay cool at your local library! Tredyffrin Public Library and Paoli Library have summer reading clubs, story times and free live performances all summer long. Kick-off parties are this Friday, June 10!Visit www.tredyffrinlibraries.org for details.
