Cell Phone Cancer Concerns
A group of 31 World Health Organization scientists has concluded that cell phones might increase our risk for cancer. The group classified cell phones with the pesticide DDT and car exhaust as “possibly carcinogenic.”
No direct link between cell phone use and brain cancer has been established. A recent study showed an elevated rate of glioma brain tumors among heavy cell phone users, but the condition remained rare.
Some experts suggested precautions such as texting more often and using head sets rather than holding a cell phone against the ear.
