Weekend Planner: Kid-Friendly New Year's

Weekend Planner: Kid-Friendly New Year's

Giant PEEPS Chick at PEEPS Fest

What are you doing New Year's Eve? Kids who can't stay up till midnight can ring in the new year early.

Countdown to the "noon" year mid-day at the Please Touch Museum & O'Doodles Toy Store in Phila., the Garden State Discovery Museum in Cherry Hill, NJ and the Brandywine Zoo in Wilmington, DE.

The Blue Cross RiverRink, Longwood Gardens and Bethlehem's PEEPS Fest are among other New Year's parties featuring fun (and fireworks!) for families.

On New Year's Day, don't miss the annual Phila. tradition, the Mummers parade. Stop inside the Kimmel Center for free concerts, balloons, face painting & crafts.

For more weekend events, search hundreds of activities on our calendar. Check out Celebrate the Season! for hundreds of holiday events for families. Receive weekend event highlights directly in your inbox each week! Sign up for MetroKids' e-newsletter today.
