Weekend Planner: PIFA and Sakura Sunday

Weekend Planner: PIFA and Sakura Sunday

Celebrate arts and culture this weekend at Philly festivals.

The Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts (PIFA) kicks off this weekend. Don't miss the Digital Youth Art Exhibition outside the Kimmel Center on Saturday mornings, featuring MetroKids reader-submitted art.

Let's hope spring-like weather will arrive in time for Sakura Sunday, an annual festival celebrating Japanese culture and springtime, in Fairmount Park. Picnics under the cherry blossoms, pet costume contests, storytelling and origami workshops are all part of the fun... rain or shine.

For more weekend events, search hundreds of activities on our calendar. Receive weekend event highlights directly in your inbox each week! Sign up for MetroKids' e-newsletter today.
