Weekend Planner: Hoppy Easter!

Weekend Planner: Hoppy Easter!

Strasburg Rail Road Easter Bunny Train

This weekend, the Easter Bunny hops into town. Here's where to find him — and where to go for more spring celebrations.

All aboard train rides with the Easter Bunny! You can ride the Easter Bunny Express on the West Chester Railroad, New Hope & Ivyland Railroad or on the Wilmington & Western Railroad. The Strasburg Rail Road in Lancaster County also offers an Easter Bunny Train this weekend. All rides include scenic tours, a visit with the Easter Bunny and treats for kids.

Trade the train for a hayride at local farms. Hayrides to Bunnyland run through Saturday at Linvilla Orchards in Media, PA. Enjoy stories and treats on your way to meeting the Easter Bunny. Face painting and pony rides are also available, and parents can shop for Easter flowers and baked goods at the new Garden Center and Farm Market.

Other farms with egg hunt hayrides include Johnson’s Corner Farm in Medford, NJ (don't miss the Easter cookie decorating, either), Duffield’s Farm in Sewell, NJ, and Springdale Farms in Cherry Hill, NJ, where you can get photos with characters and take home a spring plant.

Milburn Orchards in Elkton, MD, celebrates the spring season with Easter egg hunts this weekend, running every half-hour with prizes for all hunters. You can also take a hayride through the apple orchards and visit with the Easter Bunny.

For dozens more egg hunts and Easter family activities, search our calendar for "egg" or "Easter."
