The Delaware Valley is already getting ready for Halloween, with storytimes, parades, costume contests and more events happening all week. Here are 10 highlights:

Haddyween
Through October 31

A Hurly Burly Halloween Party

This family-friendly, interactive outdoor event featuring performances of Shakespeare’s spookiest scenes is a fundraiser for the local Shakespeare in Clark Park theater organization.

Candy for Kids on Halloween Weekend at Battleship New Jersey

The National Canal’s Museum Kids on the Canal activity for this month will be a historically themed treat or treat event.

Halloween Costume Contest

Sesame Place, 100 Sesame Rd., Langhorne, PA 19047

Visit the Sesame Street-themed park for their annual Halloween Costume Contest on Halloween. The child contest will be at 12:30 p.m. and the family contest will be at 1:30 p.m. The winners will be invited to march in a special pre-show before the Neighborhood Street Party Halloween Parade.
